SHIPPING POLICIES

Packaging and handling

The gallery offers free packaging and handling services for purchases to be shipped. Very secure, shipments are carefully packaged in custom-made, high-density, triple-ply cardboard and/or Styrofoam boxes.

International shipments

Orders placed outside of Canada, including the United States, are not subject to Canadian federal goods and services tax, applicable provincial sales taxes, or other Canadian taxes and duties associated with an order For shipments outside Canada, the delivery cost is established according to the destination, the weight, the format and the value of the works but does not include any taxes and customs duties possibly imposed by the authorities of the destination countries which are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping services used

Online orders are shipped across Canada and are provided either by the gallery’s delivery service, by courier companies (Purolator, UPS, Fedex, etc.) or by Canada Post. The gallery reserves the right to choose the most appropriate carrier according to the format of the package, its weight and its destination.

Customers wishing to take possession of their gallery purchase are asked to contact the gallery’s bilingual customer service at 450-466-8920 or by email at info@balcondart.com before placing their order.

Delivery delay

Online purchase orders are processed for shipping once the information provided has been validated. Orders placed outside business hours will be processed the next business day. Delivery times depend on the destination address. Delivery is usually made within one (1) to nine (9) business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). However, please allow up to fifteen (15) business days for delivery to remote locations.

Deliveries are made during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Due to factors related to delivery volumes and possible changes to the delivery route of selected shipping services, it is not possible for the gallery to confirm the time of delivery of packages.

Signature required on delivery

For its shipments, the “signature required” option is always retained by the gallery in order to prevent a package from being left at its destination without anyone having taken possession of it.

Currency

All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars and all orders are processed in Canadian dollars.

Applicable taxes

The prices displayed on the website do not include sales taxes (if applicable).

The gallery charges sales tax on items ordered through its website. The sales tax rate that will apply to an order depends on the delivery address of the order. Federal goods and services tax (GST) of 5% and Quebec sales tax (QST) of 9.975% apply to works shipped to Quebec. Only GST (5%) applies on works shipped to Alberta. The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) applies to the following provinces: Ontario (13%), Nova Scotia (15%), Prince Edward Island (15%), New Brunswick (15%), -Newfoundland and Labrador (15%). GST (5%) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) apply on artwork shipped to British Columbia (7%), Manitoba (7%) and Saskatchewan (6%).
