Playoffs fever in Quebec!

Will the Habs be victorious? All believe and all are behind our legendary team.

For the occasion, we offer you some works right out of the workshop and the imagination of two of our artists, most renowned for the world of hockey that populates their work!

Nicole Laporte is a native of Montreal and currently lives in Rigaud.

Very young, drawing was part of her daily life, but it is only in 1980 that she became seriously interested in oil painting.

Nicole Laporte attended the workshop of painter Marcel Bourbonnais and the Raymonde Lebel school of painting.

For several years now, she has concentrated her pictorial research on the color and the creation of familiar scenes, often of a past time, surrounding mainly children.

Lise Labbé was born in Montreal in the late thirties in a working-class family, Lise Labbé lives and paints today in the Laurentians. As a self-taught artist, she became known throughout Canada and is one of the most renowned naive painters.

His inspiration comes from her Montreal childhood. Daughter of a snack bar owner, she succeeds, thanks to her imagination and despite the modest family income in creating  a new world in the alleys of the city, a microcosm of everything that happens there, filled with merchants and children swarming on all sides. She revived the days when children enjoyed playing outside and enjoying themselves safely, a time that is now almost over.
