Biography

dugal

From an early age Jacinthe Dugal-Lacroix was drawn to painting and drawing but it’s a little later in life that she discovers sculpting.  The clay awakes in her a possibility of unlimited expression, a freedom.

Today, Jacinthe is a full-time sculptor.  Her inspiration is generated by the human body and the exploration of movement.  With the love of a mother, Jacinthe, uses bronze sculptures to evoke the rich spectrum of emotions.  A wholesome intent to touch the heart radiated from her creations, some might say an invitation to meditation.  Her spontaneous generosity is like a fountain of hope.  It’s in the enchanted warmth of her studio, that she shapes and moulds wonders in that peaceful, symbiotic relationship with nature only equalled by the miracle of genesis that starts with the mind and acts through the hands.
