LOUIS TREMBLAY

LAC ALLARD, HÂVRE-ST-PIERRE (20914)

I took a little time to answer the question because I had to go back … to Lake Allard located forty-five minutes  by plane from Havre St Pierre on the North Shore. I made several trips to Lake Allard first, because I was invited by the Innu community of Minganie and second because I could paint on site. It is an extraordinary 35 km long lake with thirty islands of all kinds in a Nordic and wild setting as you wouldn’t believe. When I think about it and I see it again, it raises a lot of emotion in me, it is all this emotion that I want to transmit to the viewer who looks at it.
