This seated woman is one of my many drawings of living models. I often paint nudes from the front but rarely the back. This time, I wanted to exploit a more intimate, more meditative side.

This woman takes a break from her hectic life and takes time to reflect on her life. There is the dark side behind it and the joyful and positive side in front of it. I wanted this picture to be a source of hope.
