About the artist

Born in Kassel, Germany, Heidi Messing has lived in Quebec since 1953. Actively implicated in the domain of fine arts since 1977., she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University (Montreal) in 1988.

The magic of creating a new form fascinates her, be it stone, bronze, or concrete for monumental works. Her artistic sensitivity tends to focus on women and their role within contemporary society.
