Born June 28, 1962 in Amos in the Abitibi, Sandra Veillette grew up in a rich and immense nature.
From her young age, she accompanied her grandfather on long fishing trips during which she learned to observe nature and to cultivate her patience, qualities that today show in her art. She moved to Montreal at the age of 11, where she was a boarder for several years. It is there that she was initiated to different forms of art like enamel on copper, pottery and charcoal.
In constant search for new modes of expression, she also studied classical singing and guitar in addition to writing poetry and a romance novel. Becoming a professional make-up artist in television, she leaves her job in 1996 to follow her spouse in the United States where they will live for five years. It is there that she develops a passion for stained glass, an art that she considers poorly known and badly appreciated. Her glass canvases, which are distinguished by great attention to detail, have been featured in several art galleries in Canada and the United States.
For some time now, her whole artistic universe has unfolded harmoniously in a new medium that you can now discover. Here is art in the natural.
