I was fascinated by<br \/>\nthe the doll house images of entire walls missing from the apartment buildings showing empty<br \/>\nrooms filled with just a few pieces of the former resident&#8217;s furniture, or bathtubs and toilets<br \/>\nsticking out from floorless walls. I also remember my family&#8217;s turbulent voyage to America. In<br \/>\nAmerica, I received my very first pencil. There and then I began my lifelong passion with art.<br \/>\nWith my passion, I found the perfect secret place, an island of calm in an ever changing life.<br \/>\nIn 1970 I moved to French Canada with my new husband and settled in a small French<br \/>\nspeaking village with his parents. I learned to speak French and the ins and out of yet another<br \/>\nnew culture. During this time we purchased a farm where I became passionately involved with<br \/>\nhorses. Horses have been and continue to be a fundamental part of my work. All these life<br \/>\nchanging events had a profound influence on my art.<\/p>\n<p>In 2000 Ursula Lampron returned to Concordia University to fulfill a childhood ambition of studying the arts.<br \/>\nThere she studied with Francoise Sullivan co-signer of the Manifesto,The Refus Global. She was<br \/>\nvery instrumental in my understanding of color. I also studied with Laurent Bonet, son of the<br \/>\nfamous Spanish artist Jordi Bonet and with him learned the techniques of the &#8220;old masters&#8221;.<br \/>\nCreativity and spontaneity instruction from Tania Lebedef helped to give me a well rounded art<br \/>\neducation. In 2007 Ursula Lampron showed her horse sculptures at the Louvre, Paris, France. She has also<br \/>\nshown her art in Florence, Italy, New York, Florida, and Los Angeles.
