He was born on May 20, 1901 in \u00c9pernay.<\/span> Jean Archimbaud was fascinated from an early age by the many landscapes and monuments offered by this region.<\/span> At the age of 12, seeing the drawing skills that his pupil possessed, his school principal suggested that he be admitted to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy.<\/span> At the start of the First World War he moved with his family to take refuge in Haute-Marne at Chaumont.<\/span> After learning to draw on his own, he became a pupil of Henry Gazan.<\/span> He will live in J\u0153uf and Moyeuvre-Grande, employed as an industrial designer.<\/span> In 1940, he took refuge in Puy-de-D\u00f4me, then in 1960, he emigrated to Canada where he died in 1976.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
