Michel Beauchamp<\/strong>\u00a0obtained a First Prize at\u00a0the Conservatoire de musique du Qu\u00e9bec in Montr\u00e9al in the class of Jean Valli\u00e8res.\u00a0\u00a0He\u00a0completed\u00a0a post graduate degree\u00a0in\u00a0counterpoint,\u00a0harmony\u00a0and<\/p>\n

fugue\u00a0under\u00a0the guidance of Jacques Faubert.\u00a0\u00a0M. Beauchamp\u00a0perfected\u00a0his skills\u00a0at home in Qu\u00e9bec \u00a0and in Spain\u00a0with\u00a0\u00a0great\u00a0 masters of the guitar, Manuel Barrueco, Alvaro Pierri and David Russell.<\/p>\n

At the start of his career, Michel Beauchamp explored chamber music and in particular with violinist Johanne Morin, harpsichordist Yves-G. Pr\u00e9fontaine and soprano Adrienne Savoie with whom he recorded his first release on ATMA label in 2001.\u00a0 Thereafter, he took an interest in flamenco which he added to his professional repertoire.<\/p>\n

In 2004, Michel Beauchamp was invited by La Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur to present the complete works of Francisco T\u00e1rrega. Thus began a long period of intense research which led him to Spain.\u00a0 He recorded the complete works for guitar of T\u00e1rrega in 2009 on the label XXI-21 (XXI-CD 2 1666) and supervised\u00a0their\u00a0publishing\u00a0for Productions d\u2019OZ (DZ 1180). In 2011, Michel Beauchamp recorded\u00a0\u00a0Bach\u2019s complete\u00a0works\u00a0for lute on\u00a0his 7 strings guitar on label XXI-and supervised\u00a0their\u00a0publishing\u00a0for Productions d\u2019OZ.<\/p>\n
